Join our team to enhance nursing practices through the development and implementation of education programs. This role is essential for advancing professional training while ensuring high standards of clinical care.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement hospital-based education programs to improve nursing practices, including obtaining necessary accreditation for training. Conduct training needs analyses to identify skills and knowledge gaps among nursing staff. Plan, develop, coordinate, and evaluate orientation and in-house training programs. Facilitate and organize external learning opportunities such as conferences, seminars, and workshops. Advise clinical instructors/preceptors on competencies of nursing students and staff. Support incident investigations related to nursing students. Ensure compliance with patient care standards in collaboration with the Nurse Manager. Supervise nurses at all levels, including trainees, and assess skills competency. Identify staff for advanced/specialized development opportunities, maximizing the training budget. Promote educational programs to external organizations and coordinate clinical placements for nursing students. Act as a role model in upholding clinical practices and standards. Develop and utilize audit tools for monitoring nursing care practices. Assist in emergency situations involving patient care. Strengthen connections between clinical nursing and research, encouraging nurse participation in research. Collaborate in obtaining accreditation and strategizing departmental development based on needs.
Requirements
- Degree in Nursing or a post-basic qualification in Education or Clinical Specialty. Registered Nurse status with the Singapore Nursing Board. WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP). Minimum of 7 years of experience in clinical care.
