The Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our network and IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for real-time monitoring, troubleshooting, and providing technical support to ensure smooth operations and timely issue resolution.
Key Accountabilities:
- Monitor network and system performance to detect and address anomalies or potential issues.
- Respond to technical inquiries, troubleshoot network-related problems, and provide effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards and quality management processes.
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
- Operate and monitor all systems, applications, network devices, and telecommunication lines.
- Perform fault response, troubleshooting, and incident/problem management, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
- Execute user service requests in alignment with Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
- Provide technical support during disaster recovery, contingency tests, maintenance activities, and system changes.
- Assist with software installation and resolve network equipment issues.
- Monitor environmental conditions of data center equipment (UPS, cooling systems, etc.).
- Serve as Data Center Physical Security Controller, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Track and manage usage of storage media, stationery, and related consumables.
- Generate and maintain inventory logs and statistical reports.
- Work on a 24x7 rotating shift schedule (12-hour shifts).
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Education Requirements:
- Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from a local Polytechnic.
Experience Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of PC operations and computer networking.
- Experience in a computer operations or IT support environment preferred.
- Fresh diploma graduates are welcome to apply.
- Skills Required:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills.
- Familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems (preferred).
- Knowledge of ITIL Foundation processes (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Allowances:
- Shift Allowance: S$20 per night shift.
- Transport Allowance: S$15 per night shift (paid together with shift allowance).
