We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Firewall Administrator to oversee the operation, administration, and support of our firewall infrastructure.
Responsibilites
- Lead in network related hardware/software/firmware incident management.
- Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise firewalls and security appliances (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Check Point).
- Maintain all the relevant network records and update all the documentations timely.
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedure, together with the customer to ensure the processes are in line and up to date as necessary.
- Perform daily system checks and monitoring and to highlight if any abnormalities are found.
- Ensure that network related equipment backups are running.
- Familiar with CISCO switches, load balancers and routers.
- Gather business and/or application requirements on the infrastructure to plan, design, install, test & implement systems in accordance with the specifications & service level.
- Aligned or enhanced ITSM/ITIL methodologies in daily operations e.g. Change, Incident, problem, release management & CMDB.
- Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & service level availability.
- Respond promptly to incident, root cause analysis & provide temporary and/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties.
- Implement service continuity measures, i.e., backup/restore procedures & disaster recovery plan, to ensure continuous operation of the business.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
- Assist in preparation of proposals and solution presentations.
- lead a team of network engineers.
- Evaluates internal & external business environment to develop long-term strategy for the unit/organizationAttain key certifications for partnership with key vendors.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Hands-on experience in network infrastructure roles, including leadership or senior-level positions.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies (routers, switches, load balancers).
- Proven experience in incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with ITSM/ITIL practices and frameworks.
- Solid understanding of disaster recovery planning and backup/restore procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage cross-functional projects.
