Job Description
Purpose
This role develops the core technical platform, capabilities, and services that efficiently support business processes and data while optimizing cost in close collaboration with the solution or software architect.
Key Missions
System Implementation & Optimization
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure delivered by IDEMIA, including servers, storage, and data centers.
- Oversee the configuration and installation of IT solutions and services (operating systems, applications, security tools).
- Optimize infrastructure for performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
Network Administration
- Plan, implement, and manage the organization's network architecture.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Provide strategic recommendations for network improvements and upgrades.
System Deployment & Maintenance
- Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, providing guidance to junior engineers.
- Ensure timely updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain system security and performance.
- Establish best practices and standard operating procedures for system administration.
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of 3 system engineers, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and training.
- Coordinate team tasks, resource allocation, and project timelines to ensure successful delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote knowledge sharing across the team.
Profile & Other Information
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Engineer, with a focus on infrastructure, network, and security.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience as a System Engineer or in a similar role ( with a focus on infrastructure and network)
- Experience with server administration, networking, and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
- Knowledge of networking protocols, security frameworks, and infrastructure components.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting
