Network Engineer

Role Summary:

The Network Engineer is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of enterprise network and security infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring network availability, security, operational stability, and timely resolution of incidents and infrastructure-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Administration

• Administer and maintain HPE Aruba and HPE ToR switch environments.
• Configure and manage VLANs, trunking, switching, and connectivity services.
• Perform proactive monitoring, maintenance, and network health checks.
• Support network upgrades and lifecycle activities.

Security Administration

• Administer and monitor Check Point firewall environments.
• Manage firewall policies, ACLs, NAT configurations, and security rules.
• Troubleshoot network and firewall-related incidents.

Infrastructure Operations

• Configure and maintain HPE ToR switches supporting rack connectivity.
• Troubleshoot network and storage-layer connectivity issues.
• Manage platform incidents, changes, service requests, and root cause analyses.

Security & Compliance

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
• Implement CIS hardening standards and security best practices.
• Support audit and compliance requirements.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Utilize Ansible automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Drive standardization and process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4-6 years of relevant network infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise network and firewall environments.
• Experience with Aruba networking and Check Point technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to independently manage operational activities.
