Role: Network Engineer (IP/MPLS)
Location: Singapore
We are partnering with a leading telecommunications organization to hire a
Network Engineer to support and enhance large-scale IP/MPLS core network environments. This role is critical in ensuring secure, resilient, and high-performing network operations that power both consumer and enterprise services.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support for complex IP core and enterprise network environments
- Design, implement, and optimize network solutions across multi-vendor platforms
- Troubleshoot critical network issues and ensure minimal downtime
- Lead network transformation initiatives, including tech refresh and PoCs
- Perform upgrades, patching, and security hardening of network infrastructure
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability reviews
- Monitor network performance and recommend continuous improvements
- Manage L2VPN/L3VPN provisioning and migrations
- Support cloud and government network connectivity projects
- Handle incident response, escalation management, and vendor coordination
- Prepare technical reports and present insights to stakeholders
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise or service provider network engineering
- Strong expertise in IP/MPLS networks (BGP, OSPF)
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and network management tools
- Proven track record in network upgrades, migrations, and incident recovery
- Ability to operate in high-availability, 24/7 environments
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
