We are seeking an experienced System and Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain computer systems and network infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of our systems and network.
Key Responsibilities:
A Network and System Engineer designs, implements, and maintains an organization's network and system infrastructure. Key responsibilities include [1][2]:
- Network Management:
- Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Ensure network security, performance, and reliability
- System Administration:
- Manage and maintain servers, storage, and other system infrastructure
- Ensure system security, performance, and availability
- Troubleshooting:
- Identify and resolve network and system issues
- Collaborate with vendors and other teams to resolve complex problems
- Security:
- Implement security measures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities
- Ensure compliance with security policies and regulations
- Project Management:
- Plan and execute network and system upgrades, migrations, and deployments
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project timelines and objectives are met
Requirements and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with network and system security best practices
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Certifications:
- CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or similar certifications are a plus
- Virtualization: Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Nice to Have:
1. Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
2. Scripting: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl).
3. ITIL: Familiarity with ITIL best practices.
