National Robotics Competition Coach (Part-Time)

Duration: May - September 2026
Commitment: 2-3 hours per week (Total: 60 hours)
Location: Punggol / Novena / Katong / Tiong Bahru / Beauty World / Jurong (Choose preferred location)
Compensation: $30-$50/hour (based on experience)

Role Overview

We are looking for passionate and committed individuals to join us as National Robotics Competition (NRC) Coaches. You will guide students in preparing for the National Robotics Competition, helping them develop strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and competition strategies.

Job Responsibilities (JD)

• Plan and conduct weekly robotics training sessions

• Guide students in:

• Robot building (structure, stability, optimisation)

• Coding and logic development

• Problem-solving and debugging

• Prepare students for competition tasks (e.g. line tracking, obstacle challenges)

• Support students in testing, iteration, and performance improvement

• Manage classroom dynamics and ensure student engagement

• Track student progress and provide feedback where necessary

• Prepare students for actual competition conditions (timed runs, pressure handling)

Requirements (Preferred)

• Prior experience in robotics (LEGO SPIKE Prime, EV3 Mindstorm)

• Experience in teaching or coaching students

• Familiarity with competition formats (e.g. NRC, FLL)

• Strong communication and classroom management skills

• Responsible and able to commit consistently throughout the programme
