About the Role
We are looking for a versatile MFX Artist to create dynamic 2D animations and eye-catching visual effects that elevate gameplay and user experience. You will play a key role in bringing characters, UI, and in-game events to life through polished animation and impactful effects.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality 2D animations using Spine (rigging, skinning, and animation).
- Design and implement engaging visual effects (VFX) for gameplay, UI, and special events.
- Collaborate with game designers, developers, and artists to ensure cohesive visual output.
- Optimize assets for performance across mobile and web platforms.
- Maintain consistency in animation style, timing, and visual quality.
- Iterate based on feedback and improve effects for better player engagement.
- Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and techniques.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in creating Visual Effect, Motion Effect/Graphic for games or other entertainment media.
- Proficiency in Spine for 2D rigging and animation.
- Experience creating 2D VFX (particles, transitions, lighting effects, UI effects).
- Strong understanding of animation principles (timing, spacing, motion, weight).
- Familiarity with tools such as Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Premiere.
- A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating spine animations, real-time or pre-rendered artwork.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with real-time VFX/MFX for mobile games.
- Good sense of motion design, visual timing, and player feedback loops
