Under close supervision, this position is responsible for acquiring expertise in creating an accurate manufacturing sequence whereby raw materials and assemblies are processed into quality finished products using the most economical and efficient means.
Work is checked during progress and is reviewed for accuracy upon completion.
Reviews engineering prints and identifies tooling requirements, manufacturing sequences, and routing requirements appropriate for manufacture or part assembly.
Creates basic and routine process plans/routings based on established procedures and standards, may assist in establishing production times for parts/assemblies, and reviews plans/routings with team leader or more experienced analyst prior to release.
Develop detailed cost estimates for tenders/bids to meet customer's requirements and deadlines
Analyse prints, extracting and compilation information on time, cost materials, and labour estimation
Identify and drive optimizations in cost and execution of cost competitive projects
Compare estimates against historical data, market trends, and industry benchmarks to improve competitiveness
Expedite and collaborate with various internal/external functional groups for compilation of cost estimates
Updating and maintaining of system database required for developing cost estimates
Minimum Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering/Production/Civil Engineering or related Engineering field
At least 1 year of experience required
Responsible & possess positive attitude, good communication skills, and detail-oriented
Strong presentation & analytical skill in MS Excel
