MEP Design Engineer

We are a recruitment agency representing a construction tech company that uses BIM, digital tools, and sustainable building solutions to help real estate developers, contractors, and government projects build faster, smarter, and greener.

Responsibilities:

1. System Design & Calculations:
   Perform preliminary and detailed design for MEP systems, including system planning, equipment selection, load calculations, and integrated routing.
2. Construction Drawings:
   Independently or collaboratively produce drawings for:
   HVAC: air/water systems, ventilation, smoke control, heating, equipment selection, installation details
   Plumbing: water supply, drainage, rainwater, fire protection systems (hydrants, sprinklers), sanitary layouts
   Electrical: power distribution, lighting, grounding, lightning protection, ELV systems (security, fire alarm, smart systems)
3. Calculations & Equipment Selection:
   Conduct discipline-specific calculations (cooling/heating load, water demand/pressure, electrical load/short circuit/illumination) and select appropriate equipment.
4. Coordination:
   Participate in coordination meetings liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants.
5. Codes & Standards Compliance:
   Ensure all designs comply with national/local codes and green building standards.
6. Technical Support:
   Provide site support and resolve MEP-related technical issues review contractor shop drawings.
7. Documentation:
   Manage design documentation, including drawings, calculations, revisions, and approvals.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 5 years of MEP design experience (large design institute experience preferred) consultancy background required open to all nationalities.
2. Bachelor's degree or above in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services Engineering.
3. Proficient in AutoCAD and Tianzheng MEP tools.
4. Skilled in Revit for BIM coordination familiarity with analysis tools (energy modeling, daylighting, CFD) is a plus.
5. Strong technical foundation in own discipline with basic cross-disciplinary knowledge.
6. Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking abilities.
