We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Tru-Marine. The role involves designing, maintaining, and optimizing mechanical systems for vessels and offshore installations, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient marine operations.
Design, analyze, and maintain mechanical systems such as ship engines, propulsion systems, pumps, piping, and HVAC systems.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
Oversee installation, commissioning, and testing of mechanical machinery for marine projects.
Ensure compliance with marine regulations and classification society standards (e.g., ABS, DNV, Lloyd's Register).
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and manuals for mechanical systems.
Collaborate with naval architects, electrical engineers, and project teams to ensure integrated solutions.
Support operational teams with technical guidance and problem-solving.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
Professional certification (e.g., Chartered Engineer or Class Society certification) is a plus.
Experience in marine systems, ship repair, offshore maintenance, or shipbuilding.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and engineering analysis tools.
Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical systems.
Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with marine propulsion, auxiliary machinery, pumps, and HVAC systems.
Knowledge of ship stability, ballast systems, and predictive maintenance tools.
Experience managing marine or offshore engineering projects.
