Job Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical design and engineering works, including preparation of detailed production and shop drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM) using AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit (BIM).
- Develop and review mechanical system layouts and design concepts to meet functional, safety, and project requirements.
- Prepare and maintain Revit (BIM) models and AutoCAD drawings for mechanical systems, ensuring coordination with other disciplines.
- Generate and review as-built drawings based on site installation feedback and conduct site visits when required to verify engineering compliance.
- Coordinate with project engineers, sales teams, consultants, and contractors to resolve design, technical, and construct-ability issues.
- Liaise with clients and consultants to ensure alignment with project specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in design coordination meetings, technical reviews, and project discussions, providing engineering input and recommendations.
- Demonstrate flexibility to travel (including Malaysia) and perform overtime when project schedules require.
- Perform other engineering and design-related duties as assigned by the reporting superior.
Job Requirements
Qualification:
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Years of experience:
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, engineering, or industrial systems.
Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Inventor for mechanical design and detailing.
- Working knowledge of Revit (BIM) for coordinated design is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems such as generator enclosures, exhaust systems, ventilation, piping, or industrial equipment is preferred.
- Competent in Microsoft Office for engineering documentation and coordination.
