Mechanical Engineer (Static and Rotating Equipment)
Position Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber Mechanical Engineer to join our core design team in Singapore. This role is pivotal in the engineering and procurement lifecycle, where you will be responsible for the technical integrity of both static and rotating equipment. You will ensure that all mechanical systems are engineered for safety, reliability, and full compliance with stringent industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering & Analysis: Execute detailed design and technical analysis for a wide range of mechanical assets, including static (pressure vessels, heat exchangers) and rotating equipment (pumps, compressors).
- Technical Documentation: Author and manage criticalengineering packages, including equipment datasheets, technical specifications,and requisitions for procurement.
- Vendor Management: Perform rigorous technical reviews ofvendor drawings and documentation to ensure alignment with project-specificdemands.
- Procurement Liaison: Collaborate closely with procurementand project management teams to evaluate technical bids and ensure compliancethroughout the supply chain.
- Operational Support: Provide on-site technical guidanceduring the installation, testing, and commissioning phases to bridge the gapbetween design and operation.
- Standards Advocacy: Ensure all engineering activities strictly adhere to safety protocols, project specifications, and international codes (API, ASME, etc.).
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of specialized experience within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors.
- Comprehensive familiarity with API, ASME, and other relevant international mechanical codes.
- Strong analytical mindset with proven proficiency in modern mechanical engineering design and simulation software.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities, capable of working effectively within a fast-paced,multi-disciplinary project environment.
