Electrical Engineer (Energy & Infrastructure)
Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Electrical Engineer to drive the design and development of robust electrical systems for major oil and gas projects. In this role, you will bridge the gap between conceptual engineering and site execution, ensuring that all electrical infrastructure is safe, efficient, and fully compliant with global standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering Design: Lead the development of critical electrical deliverables, including single-line diagrams (SLDs), equipment specifications, and comprehensive facility layouts.
- Technical Analysis: Conduct essential engineering calculations, including power load analysis, short-circuit studies, cable sizing, and protection coordination to ensure system stability.
- Vendor & Quality Management: Review and approve vendortechnical packages and oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to ensure allcomponents meet project benchmarks.
- Multidisciplinary Coordination: Work alongside mechanical,instrumentation, and process teams to facilitate the seamless integration ofelectrical systems into the broader project scope.
- Field Support: Provide technical expertise during theinstallation, testing, and commissioning phases, ensuring a smooth transitionfrom design to start-up.
- Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to IEC, IEEE, andproject-specific codes throughout the project lifecycle.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering ora closely related field.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in electrical design, with a strong background in the Oil & Gas or EPC sectors.
- Skilled in utilizingindustry-standard electrical design and simulation software.
- Comprehensive understanding of international electrical standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.).
- Strong analytical problem-solvingskills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse project stakeholders.
