Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Handles all mechanical related lab setup for in-house FAT of systems, including coupling and gearbox selection.
  • Hands on troubleshooting and resolution of system issues during all stages of project (development, setup, FAT, SAT, warranty).
  • Responsible for any mechanical system design stages of development.
  • Generate mechanical drawings for effective communication with suppliers.
  • Create systems and process flows for all relevant work to standardize work and reduce cycle times.
  • Create and manage all relevant documentation.
  • Any other responsibility as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Hands on experience with vessel mechanical and engine systems.
  • Experience with engineering design software. Direct hands-on experience with SOLIDWORKS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with maritime HM&E systems and naval construction processes.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team player and good communication skills.
  • Physically fit and able to work in strenuous circumstances.
