Mechanical Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Support 2D & 3D mechanical design and drafting for generator set enclosures using CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks).
• Assist in the design and development of enclosure systems, ensuring compliance with acoustic, thermal, structural, and safety requirements.
• Work with internal teams to support pre-sales engineering activities, including basic design concepts and feasibility evaluation.
• Support design validation and testing activities.
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers on technical specifications, component selection, and design requirements.
• Assist in engineering change processes (ECO), design documentation, and drawing updates.
• Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure designs comply with company standards, quality requirements, and environmental practices.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in mechanical design.
• Basic knowledge in:
  - 2D/3D CAD design (e.g. SolidWorks, Creo, NX)
  - Sheet metal design and fabrication
  - Mechanical design principles (thermal, structural, basic acoustics)
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and engineering drawings.
• Exposure to generator sets, engines, or industrial equipment will be an advantage.
• Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors.
