Job Summary
We are seeking a CNC Programmer to support our operations. The role involves preparing CAD drawings, generating CNC programs using CAM software for turret punch machines and coordinating production schedules to meet delivery timelines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise CAD drawings based on customer specifications and project requirements
- Generate CNC programs to maximize material use and machine efficiency
- Troubleshoot issues before production to ensure smooth operations
- Plan and coordinate daily production schedules with job priorities and delivery deadlines
- Collaborate with supervisors and operators to support and resolve production issues
- Monitor job progress to meet delivery targets
- Ensure all drawings and CNC programs comply with quality standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and revision control for all CAD drawings and CNC programs
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma, Higher NITEC, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, or related field
- Minimal experience in CNC programming
- Proficient in CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Metalix or similar
- Strong ability to read and interpret drawings accurately
- Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes
- Effective planning and coordination skills to manage production schedules
Other Information
- Working hours: 5.5 to 6 days per week
- Overtime may be required during peak production periods
