Mechanical Engineer

Designing and maintaining diesel engines, steam turbines, and gas turbines.Diagnosing and repairing equipment in marine engine rooms to meet safety standards.Developing new machinery for vessels and overseeing installation in shipyards.Work can be done on board vessels (sea-going engineers) or in shore-based roles at shipyards, classification societies, or maritime suppliers.Reading and understanding P&ID, Genera arrangement drawing, technical manual.Understand the mechanical Commissioning process and operation of machinery.Ability to lift heavy components and work in challenging environments (e.g., confined spaces).Analysing equipment failures and determining effective, fast repairs.trict compliance with yard HSE and safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
