Key Responsibilities
Facilities Maintenance & Operations
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance for building systems such as electrical installations, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility infrastructure across company offices, leased residential units
- Troubleshoot equipment faults and attend to maintenance requests, breakdowns, and urgent repair needs in a timely manner to minimize disruption to operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and ensure building systems remain in good working condition.
- Coordinate and supervise third-party service providers involved in maintenance activities, ensuring work is completed according to safety standards, contractual requirements, and agreed timelines.
- Oversee service vendors including air-conditioning technicians, pest control providers, fire safety contractors, security vendors, and landscaping teams.
- Maintain records of maintenance work and manage inventories of tools, spare parts, and related supplies required for repair activities.
- Ensure safety-related systems such as fire protection equipment, emergency lighting, and alarm systems are properly maintained and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Provide general maintenance support including small repair works, fixture replacements, carpentry tasks, and other handyman duties when required.
- Promote efficient facility operations by implementing cost-conscious maintenance practices and supporting energy-saving initiatives.
- Remain available outside standard working hours, including weekends, to respond to urgent maintenance issues when necessary
Renovation, Fit-Out & New Facility Support
- Participate in site assessments for potential new offices or rental properties, evaluating infrastructure, mechanical and electrical systems, and overall building suitability.
- Work alongside facility and real estate teams to coordinate with landlords, consultants, and contractors during renovation and design stages.
- Review and verify mechanical and electrical (M&E) drawings and technical specifications to ensure compliance with operational requirements and service agreements.
- Monitor renovation or interior fit-out activities on-site to ensure work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project timelines.
- Assist with the sourcing and coordination of contractors, vendors, and materials required for facility setup or improvement projects.
- Support the completion and handover process of newly renovated spaces, including inspection, testing, and commissioning of installed systems.
Requirements
Diploma, ITE certification, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related technical field.
At least 5 years of practical experience in facilities management or property maintenance, preferably with involvement in renovation or interior fit-out projects. Experience within the hospitality sector would be advantageous.
Solid understanding of building systems including electrical networks, HVAC systems, plumbing infrastructure, and fire safety equipment.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
Knowledge of Singapore workplace safety practices and building regulations.
Strong coordination skills with the ability to manage contractors and external vendors effectively.
Responsible, independent, and dependable individual who is prepared to provide standby support during evenings or weekends for urgent facility matters.
