Mechanical & Electrical Coordinator (Construction)

Responsibilities

. Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, andvendors to prepare, review, and submit shop drawings, technical submissions,RFIs, and method statements.

. Assist the M&E Engineer in planning andsequencing M&E works to avoid clashes and ensure smooth integration witharchitectural and structural trades.

. Review M&E drawings and compare them withother disciplines to identify discrepancies, clashes, and constructabilityissues before work execution.

. Liaise closely with subcontractors to ensurematerial procurement schedules, delivery timelines, and installation plans meetthe project requirements.

. Attend coordination, technical, and sitemeetings to follow up on M&E issues and provide updates on outstandingitems and progress.

. Monitor site progress of M&E works andprovide technical guidance to supervisors and subcontractor teams to ensurecompliance with approved drawings and specifications.

. Coordinate Testing & Commissioning (T&C)workflows, including preparation of T&C plans, witnessing schedules, anddocument tracking.

. Compile and maintain project documentation suchas drawings, RFIs, approvals, inspection records, T&C submissions, andas-built updates.

. Follow up on authority submission requirements(BCA, SCDF, PUB, EMA, NEA, LTA) and assist consultants and subcontractors inensuring required documents are prepared on time.

. Resolve coordination issues by proposingtechnical solutions or alternatives and ensuring decisions are communicatedclearly to all involved parties.

. Support QA/QC activities, including siteinspections, material verification, and monitoring rectification works fornon-compliances.

. Ensure site safety compliance by coordinatingwith the WSH team and ensuring that subcontractors follow RA, SWP, andpermit-to-work processes.

. Provide guidance and support to M&ESupervisors by clarifying technical requirements, reviewing their inspectionfindings, and mentoring them to improve their coordination, documentation, andsite-management skills.
