Job Description
- Device solutions to mechanical problems at an assembly/ sub-assembly level.
- Develop assembly and component drawings for parts to be manufactured.
- Design wholistic test to inquire parameters in order to translate customer requirements into technical requirements.
- Attach risk levels to solutions proposed in order to propose sound solutions.
- Produce design documents, Test reports and other related documentation.
- Support fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes
- Structural analysis on component and sub-assembly level to ensure design specifications are met.
- Select suitable materials, actuators, components, fasteners, etc to meet design requirement
- Develop hydraulic circuits including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and safety locks
- Applies sound engineering principles, with innovation to meet set goals.
- Build-up of prototypes/ POCs.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years in mechanical engineering / mechanical component design.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks)
- Design knowledge in sheet metal parts, weldments, truss structures, machine parts.
- Design knowledge for ease of manufacture and assembly and ingress protection.
- Design knowledge in motion control / Kinematic solutions.
- FEA of quasistatic loading conditions.
- Design knowledge in hydraulics will be of added advantages.
- Experience in mechanical design of large structures, mobile platforms, containerized systems or vehicle-mounted equipment will be of added advantages
