We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering Mechanical Team. The successful candidate will support the design and development of mechanical components for electronic products, contribute to prototyping and testing, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, reliable product outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize 3D CAD tools to design plastic and metal components for electronic enclosures.
- Support rapid prototyping, including 3D printing and model fabrication, to validate design requirements.
- Assist in root cause analysis, design troubleshooting, and implementation of engineering solutions.
- Participate in parts fabrication, product assembly, and production-related activities.
- Prepare technical drawings, design documentation, test plans, and engineering reports.
- Work closely with the Quality team to ensure products meet performance, reliability, and compliance standards.
Essential Knowledge & Skills
- Basic understanding of stress, strain, and mechanical performance evaluation for plastic and metal designs.
- Familiarity with 3D printing methods and rapid prototyping processes.
- Ability to assist in designing mechanical tests for design verification and validation.
- Understanding of plastic molding and metal fabrication processes.
- Awareness of design-for-assembly (DFA) and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles.
- Basic knowledge of electromechanical connectors and troubleshooting techniques.
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of shock and vibration testing methodologies.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and meet project timelines.
