Uplifters is a non-profit organisation that enables migrant domestic workers (MDWs) to make their migration journeys successful through free online education and community support. Founded in Hong Kong in 2018, Uplifters has supported more than 10,000 domestic workers globally and established a Singapore entity in 2024.
We work across four areas: economic empowerment, wellbeing, domestic work skills, and support for employers. We are deeply community-led, with alumni trained to support new learners and shape our programmes.
Grow the number of migrant domestic workers joining Uplifters for the first time.
You will be the public-facing representative of Uplifters in Singapore, responsible for outreach, learner recruitment, brand awareness, and community building - through both online and in-person engagement. This role is highly people-focused and requires confidence, warmth, and strong communication skills.
Develop and implement a marketing strategy with clear KPIs, using analytics tools to track campaign performance and optimise messaging for different audiences
Conduct in-person and online outreach to MDW communities, acting as a trusted, visible representative of Uplifters
Share field insights with the Programmes Team to continuously improve outreach strategies
Build partnerships to co-promote courses, expand access, and increase visibility through joint events and shared communications
Lead information sessions for different audiences
Represent Uplifters confidently in external settings, ensuring all communications reflect Uplifters tone and values
Involve the community through a strong referral programme
Train community ambassadors, equipping them with resources and skills to support and promote Uplifters courses within their networks - with specific focus on cultivating leaders from the Indonesian community and fostering grassroots partnerships
Organise regular check-ins and training sessions for ambassadors to share updates, gather feedback, and recognise their contributions
Support Sunday community workshops and events alongside the Singapore Programmes Team
Working hours to be agreed based on contract type. The role involves regular weekday outreach activities, along with some evening and Sunday work for events and workshops. Sunday work is planned in advance and compensated with time off in lieu.

Essential
Passion for community outreach and empowering migrant domestic workers
Charismatic, confident communicator with strong public speaking skills
Comfortable acting as the public face of Uplifters
Experience engaging people in person and online
Ability to build trust quickly and communicate with warmth and clarity
Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and Sundays
Strong organisational skills and self-motivation
Alignment with Uplifters values and Code of Conduct
Preferred
Experience in outreach, community engagement, advocacy, recruitment, or sales
Experience working with migrant domestic workers or similar communities
Experience delivering workshops, talks, or presentations
Experience managing social media platforms (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram) with a track record of audience growth
Fluency in English and one or more of the following: Tagalog, Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, or Tamil
Familiarity with analytics tools and campaign tracking
Salary range SGD 4,200-4,700 depending on experience
Leave entitlement: 5 weeks (full-time position)
Must have the legal right to work in Singapore
