Job Description

Job Scope

  • Conduct H&M casualty inspections on all types of vessels
  • Communicate with Insurers, Brokers and Owners as required
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, addressing nature, extent and cause of damage
  • Assist with estimating total cost of repairs
  • Conduct H&M loss prevention and MWS surveys
  • Maintain accurate records of all inspections performed
  • Adhere to strict safety standards when conducting inspections
  • Travel to survey sites around Asia as required

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Class 1 Motor or Steam Unlimited Certificate of Competency and/or superintendents experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in marine engineering or naval architecture or related field
  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience as an H&M surveyor
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English
