Overview
The Marine Insurance Executive will manage global insurance operations, covering marine and corporate policies, claims, and renewals, ensuring compliance and smooth coordination across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee insurance policies, placements, and renewals (P&I, H&M, cargo, liability, D&O, cyber, property).
- Manage claims, liaise with brokers/insurers, and maximize recoveries.
- Review contracts to ensure coverage of liabilities and propose additional insurance as needed.
- Maintain accurate insurance records and report on trends.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on insurance processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Business, or Insurance.
- 3+ years insurance experience, ideally in shipping
- Strong knowledge of shipping-related insurance policies and terms.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team.
