- Liaise with clients, intermediaries, surveyors/adjustors, handling agents, overseas principals, and related company groups.
- Manage correspondence and attend meetings with clients or intermediaries as needed.
- Upon claims notification, gather customer details, arrange surveys, and coordinate with settling agents.
- Create claim files/checklists and review policy, reinsurance, and treaty arrangements before confirming underwriting acceptance.
- Send acknowledgment letters and request necessary claim documents from clients or intermediaries.
- Prepare and dispatch PLA/Cash-Call Advice follow up with reinsurers for payments.
- Draft LLA/MLR for approval and ensure reserves are accurate and timely.
- Maintain and review diary dates of active files, ensuring proper follow-up before archiving.
- Verify premium payments and liaise with Finance on delays.
- Forward claims with strong recovery potential to Claims Recovery Agents and follow up on recovery actions.
- Update records for exceptional claims (e.g., ex-gratia payments, large losses) and related recoveries.
- Escalate claims exceeding authority to HOD/Senior Management before notifying relevant parties.
- Compile monthly/quarterly statistics and review files regularly.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Marine Claims module.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
