Perform servicing and repairs of marine engines and other marine auxiliary products on marine diesel engines and components in workshops and onboard vessels
Perform alignment checks and reassemble the mechanical parts
Perform testing of equipment to ensure smooth operation/test run on completion of all service jobs as assigned.
Ensuring equipment is in good condition before handing over to the customer.
Work in co-operation with operation manager and colleagues to fulfil job requirements and resolve technical problems in meeting the expectations of external customers.
Responsible for recording and providing accurate and job completion complete time sheets upon completion of every service job or visits to facilitate follow up or warranty claim where appropriate.
Prepare and upkeep all equipment related documents in accordance with the documentation system and procedure of Marine/Industrial Services.
JOB REQUIREMENT
Possess ITE or NTC in Mechanical or Apprentice Cert
3 years working experience in mechanical or engine related work with relevant experience in handling all types of marine 2 stroke and 4 stroke engines overhauling/servicing.
Good in oral and written English
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Have a good discipline, work attitude, high level of initiatives, independent, meticulous and able to work under pressure
Good technical knowledge on the engine, electrical and hydraulic
Able to drive is preferred.
Willing to travel on short notice
Working 5.5 days per week from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (weekday) & Saturday (8:00 am to 12:00 pm) Must be prepared to work beyond normal working hours
