About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven Operations Manager to take full ownership of our end-to-end operations in a machine parts fabrication company. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for optimizing all operational processes from order planning, design, fabrication, assembly, QC, to shipping - ensuring every order meets quality standards, deadlines, and customer expectations.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director (MD), you will responsible for decision-making in day-to-day operations, reporting progress and outcomes to the MD. The ideal candidate is firm, decisive, and respected by the team, with a strong focus on efficiency, process control, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all operational departments: Planning, Design, Production, Assembly, QC, and Shipping.
- Take end-to-end ownership of order execution - from first PO to final shipment - ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality output.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that drive efficiency, reduce waste, and increase profitability.
- Set up and lead cross-functional committees to resolve non-conformance issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
- Monitor KPIs, production schedules, resource allocation, and workflow across all departments.
- Build a disciplined, accountable, and high-performing team that respects and follows leadership.
- Provide clear documentation of processes, decisions, and improvements for traceability.
- Collaborate with the MD on operational insights, long-term planning, and growth strategies.
- Ensure that operations consistently contribute to customer satisfaction and long-term profitability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field higher qualifications preferred.
- Minimum 5-8 years of senior operations/production management experience, preferably in fabrication or mechanical parts manufacturing.
- Proven leadership with ability to manage multiple functions and command respect.
- Hands-on, decisive, and proactive in solving operational and quality challenges.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent documentation and process management capabilities.
- Exceptional communication in English Mandarin is an advantage.
