Job Description

Sustaining High-Volume Production

  • Assume full responsibility for the product after its transfer into high-volume production, overseeing all aspects of manufacturing operations.

Review and Generate Work Instructions (WI)

  • Receive and review Work Instructions (WI) provided by the Engineering team, ensuring full understanding and clarity.

  • Generate new Work Instructions as required for mass production projects, ensuring they align with current manufacturing processes.

ECO and ECN Process

  • Initiate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) when implementing changes to the project or manufacturing processes, particularly for design-related modifications.

  • Collaborate with the Engineering and Sales teams to communicate platform-related agreements with customers, ensuring all customer requirements are addressed.

Jigs, Fixtures, and Testers

  • Identify the need for jigs, fixtures, and other tools required in the manufacturing process.

  • Work with the Design and Sales teams to communicate with customers and secure the necessary resources.

  • Ensure the availability and procurement of testers required for production testing.

Debugging and Problem Resolution

  • Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to gather detailed requirements for production processes and testing.

  • In cases where production fails to meet specified requirements, engage in debugging activities with the Project In Charge (PIC) team to identify and resolve issues.

Manufacturing Stock Management

  • Initiate the process for items to be kept in manufacturing stock, ensuring that proper approval procedures are followed.

  • Manage inventory control by carefully assessing volume requirements and maintaining stock levels.

Mentoring and Coaching

  • Provide mentoring and coaching to the production team, transferring knowledge and developing their skills to enhance overall team capabilities and performance.

Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives

Lead teams in continuous improvement initiatives, including 6S practices, safety programs, work instruction revisions, and process optimization activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role or related field (depending on the company's requirements).

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies is a plus.

  • Experience in refining work instructions and improving processes for new manufacturing contracts is highly desired.

Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, automation systems, and process control.

  • Strong understanding of quality assurance and control techniques.

  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, ERP software, etc.).

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, particularly when working with clients and cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to adapt to new client requirements and projects quickly
