Key Responsibilities

The role involves close business partnering to Gateway SG Hub Premium Services, centralized management functions and projects. Business partnering involves managing, overseeing and reporting financial performance of the business units, financial planning & analysis, budgeting & forecasting, and providing finance perspectives and insights to business strategies and developments to contribute to the overall success of the business.

  • Financial planning and analysis: supporting business units in driving, coordinating and preparing annual budget, quarterly forecast, and 5-year projections, assessing and incorporating financial impact of business strategies and decisions.
  • Financial reporting: ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders. This entails preparing monthly financial report on performance, and conducting financial analysis to provide insights into the BUs performance.
  • Financial analysis: conducting financial analysis to provide insights into the company's performance, profitability, and efficiency, including assessing the financial impact of business decisions.
  • Relationship management: collaborating with BU stakeholders and fellow finance business partners to ensure objectives are aligned and common goals are achieved.
  • Compliance and governance: ensuring day-to-day financial processes and transactions are compliant with financial regulations, accounting standards, internal controls, internal financial policies and approval limits.
  • Strategic decision support: preparing financial models with input assumptions obtained from various stakeholders, thereafter providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making by the business units. This will require in-depth review and challenging of business case assumptions, rationalising output metrics of the financial projections (ROI, NPV, IRR, payback), and reviewing/support the preparation of accompanying approval papers and/or decks.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in accountancy, finance, or a related discipline
  • CPA or ACCA accredited or equivalent professional qualification
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Finance Business Partnering, Financial Planning & Analysis, or Commercial Finance, inclusive of substantial financial modelling experience
  • Experience in aviation industry would be advantageous
  • Prior Big 4 audit experience of minimum 3 years
  • Highly proficient in data manipulation and visualisation using Excel and Powerpoint
  • Willing to travel around various business offices in Changi and Seletar.
  • Possess good presentation skills to articulate financial performance and outcomes to key stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented individual who is self-motivated, resourceful and adaptive to new ways of working
  • Able to work in fast-paced environment, with good organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong analytical skills and accounting fundamentals
  • Team Management able to provide guidance to the respective subsidiary finance managers / accountants on SATS HQ Finance requirements and expectations, and collaborate well with fellow SATS Finance Business Partners in contributing to Division deliverables.
