Reporting to the Regional Director, Engineering & Projects. The Manager, Engineering & Projects, shall be responsible for reviewing and proposing engineering solutions for all hotels in Asia Region. They are in charge of overseeing and reviewing both proposed and ongoing engineering related projects, CapEx requests, and Engineering matters to roll out new initiatives as instructed by the Management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Engineering Solutions
- Assist, discuss and propose possible solutions for engineering related issues in Hotels
- Conduct site visits
- Formulate reports and propose solutions to engineering related issues
- Collaborate closely with hotel engineers and relevant stakeholders to execute rectification exercises
- Review and comment on submission of technical specification, schematics and drawings with relevance to the projects
Project Management
- Supervise stakeholders on projects
- Prepare and execute Tenders
- Ensure adherence to budget and deadlines
- Facilitate meetings
Capital Expenses
- Review hotels request submissions to ensure no discrepancies
- Liasing with relevant departments for justification of requests
- Ascertain requests justifications before management approval
To carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Experience and Skills:
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- At least 5 years of working experience in Hotels maintenance & operation (Engineering) with 3 years project experience and a similar capacity
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Detail oriented, self motivated and assertive
