As
Manager, Digital Strategy & Media – China, you will lead digital acceleration for
Burger King, Popeyes, and Tim Hortons across China, driving sales growth and brand equity through best-in-class media strategy and execution. This role focuses on integrating brand media with ecommerce media in a cohesive performance framework that enhances both brand presence and commercial performance.
You will act as RBI's central media lead in China—partnering with brand and franchise teams, managing key platforms and agencies, and shaping how each brand leverages data to win with Chinese consumers.
This role is based out of China -Shanghai.
RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite 5 days per week.
Key Responsibilties
Media Leadership and In-House Planning Lead
- Lead media strategy and planning across all brands, ensuring alignment with commercial priorities and in-market realities.
- Build and execute data-driven media frameworks that maximize reach, ROI, and creative impact
- Lead Ecommerce driven sales campaigns with focus on integrated media planning.
- Oversee agency performance, partner relationships, and platform innovation to ensure best-in-class media execution.
- Establish performance benchmarks and measurement systems to link working media to sales outcomes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Capability Building
- Partner with brand, technology, and analytics teams to embed digital thinking across all growth levers.
- Drive knowledge transfer and upskilling to elevate digital and media capability within local and franchise teams.
- Act as a strategic liaison with global and regional counterparts to share insights and drive alignment.
Experience
Qualifications and Experience
- 8+ years in media, digital strategy, and integrated marketing roles, with deep exposure to China's digital and media ecosystem.
- Proven success managing large-scale media investments and data-driven marketing initiatives across multiple brands or markets.
- Proven experience in tactical execution as media planner weaving the strategic direction into successful tactical plans
- Experience in Ecommerce sales platforms such as Dianping & Douyin from a sales-driven perspective
- Preferred industries of quick-service restaurant, retail, or consumer industries.
Skills And Competencies
- Expert understanding of digital and traditional media channels, measurement, and optimization.
- Strategic, data-literate thinker with strong business judgment.
- Skilled stakeholder manager and communicator, comfortable operating across local and global teams.
- Deep familiarity with China's consumer platforms, data practices, and emerging digital trends.
