Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated sales professional to drive revenue growth and elevate the culinary experience at EXPO for our event organisers and delegates. In this role, you will work closely with the venue sales team and our expert panel of appointed catering partners to deliver exceptional food offerings, service excellence, and unforgettable event outcomes.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, relationship-focused individual who can identify and convert commercial opportunities, champion EXPO's culinary capabilities, and support hirers in creating successful, memorable events.
Sales & Business Development
- Proactively research, identify, and secure MICE and event-related businessincluding large conventions, corporate meetings, association events, exhibitions, and incentive groupswith a strong emphasis on catering-driven revenue opportunities.
- Drive adoption of EXPO's curated culinary offerings by aligning organisers event objectives with suitable catering partners, menu concepts, and F&B solutions.
- Represent EXPO at trade shows, industry events, and client engagements (locally and internationally) to promote the venue's culinary strengths and build strong relationships with planners, agencies, associations, and corporate clients.
- Develop compelling proposals, catering sales kits, and customised presentations that showcase EXPO's diverse culinary options, operational flexibility, and service excellence.
Catering Partners Management
- Lead negotiations for catering packages and culinary solutions, ensuring commercial viability while meeting client expectations and event requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Sales, Organisers, and Catering Partnersfrom initial inquiry to final confirmationensuring a seamless, consultative sales experience.
- Work closely with catering partners to uphold the highest standards of food quality, safety, service performance, and operational excellence.
- Conduct regular inspections, evaluations, and engagement sessions with catering partners to ensure organisers and delegates consistently receive an exceptional culinary experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 - 5 years of relevant experience in catering sales, banquet sales, hospitality sales, MICE, or event services.
- Diploma and/or Degree in Business Administration, Tourism, Hospitality Management and/or Event Management related field.
- Proven track record in B2B sales, revenue generation, and managing key accounts.
- Experience working with catering providers, hotels, banquet operations, or large-scale event venues is highly preferred.
- Knowledge, experience and ability to drive catering sales strategy, revenue forecasting, action plan, event P&L and to execute and manage indoor / outdoor catering events is necessary.
- Competent in preparing proposals, contracts, and sales presentations.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and possess a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Able to multi-task, work under tight deadlines and in as fast paced working environment.
- Collaborative team player with a high level of professionalism and service excellence mindset.
