What The Role Is

The Research team undertakes and supports research that informs policy and programme formulation, and effective engagement of youth. We contribute to national-level youth research efforts alongside sense-making and consultancy for the organisation and stakeholders.

We are looking for a Manager/ Assistant Manager to join the team to support national-level research studies that help us understand the state of youth in Singapore. In this role, you will have the opportunity to monitor emerging trends in the youth landscape, engage with internal and external stakeholders, contribute to the conceptualisation and execution of research that keeps us abreast of the youth pulse, and support the amplification of research insights to relevant stakeholders. At the same time, you will support the operational aspects of research projects, including managing quantitative polls, coordinating with vendors, and helping to streamline the team's research processes and ways of working.

What You Will Be Working On

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various stages of the research process, including literature reviews and environmental scans, research methodology and questionnaire design, fieldwork management, and data analysis and visualisation. Beyond research delivery, you will also support the operational aspects of the team's work, including coordinating research processes and helping to ensure projects run smoothly and on schedule.

You will support the team in providing research consultancy to the organisation, analysing key youth trends and translating insights into tailored communications for diverse stakeholders across the youth sector and whole-of-government. This includes preparing data and insights for various platforms and audiences, with the goal of informing programme practices and policy formulation.

What We Are Looking For

• Strong interest in youth issues and public policy.
• Background in psychology, sociology, economics, public policy, or related social science disciplines would be advantageous.
• 0–3 years of experience in research, data analysis, or related roles
• Sound knowledge of research methods and analysis.
• Basic proficiency in quantitative data management and processing.
• Familiarity with data analysis and/or visualisation tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, Tableau) would be advantageous.
• Good critical thinking, data storytelling, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Good project management skills with strong attention to detail.
• A collaborative and resourceful team player who is willing to learn and able to adapt well in a dynamic environment.
