Job Description

[What the role is]

You will be part of a dynamic team that designs and implements Public Service Media (PSM) strategies and initiatives to foster an informed and connected society, and drive transformation of Singapore's PSM ecosystem to stay relevant in the fast-changing media landscape.

You will be working with key PSM players and media companies (local or international) to deliver innovative PSM content that engages Singaporeans across platforms. You will also be charting new partnerships with industry players leveraging digital/social media platforms, emerging formats and technology, to grow reach and deepen engagement with audiences in Singapore.

[What you will be working on]

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Public Service Media (PSM) strategies and programmes to improve reach of local content and deepen audience engagement across platforms.
  • Research and analyse local media consumption trends and emerging media tech trends, and distil pertinent insights to inform PSM strategies for innovative PSM content creation and delivery.
  • Research, identify and engage potential media, tech and platform players in Singapore and internationally to explore potential partnerships to enhance capabilities of the PSM ecosystem to reach and engage audiences.
  • Evaluate partner proposals, draft recommendation papers for approval of programmes and projects and presentations to management.
  • Manage and implement projects with partners to achieve intended outcomes/KPIs, in compliance with corporate governancepolicies. This includes contract and project management, development of comms plan, progress monitoring and verification of deliverables, budget administration, performance analysis and review.
  • Stakeholder management - build strong working relationships with media industry players and public sector agencies for effective implementation of PSM strategies and initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in the media or related industry, preferably with project management experience.
  • Good Bachelor's degree, preferably in Media Studies, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Communications or Social Science.
  • Passionate about the media industry with good understanding of media consumption trends and emerging tech trends impacting the creation and delivery of content.
  • Self-motivated team player who can work independently to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong planning, organising and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Effectively bilingual (English and Mother Tongue language) preferred, as responsibilities could involve management and assessment of vernacular content projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
