Maintenance Engineer

We are recruiting on behalf ofour client, a well-established manufacturing company, for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities

. Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance to minimize production downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.

. Lead and supervise a team of technicians in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of plant machinery and equipment.

. Develop, plan, and schedule maintenance activities to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

. Manage spare parts inventory effectively to ensure the availability of critical components and prevent operational delays.

. Coordinate and liaise with suppliers, vendors, and service providers for technical support, spare parts procurement, and maintenance services.

. Monitor equipment performance and recommend continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and productivity.

. Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards, maintenance procedures, and company policies.

Requirements

. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.

. Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.

. Hands-on experience in automation systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment.

. Experience in the steel manufacturing industry will bean added advantage.

. Knowledge of IPCs, PLC programming, drive control systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.

. Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work in dependently as well as in a team environment.

. Ability to perform effectively under pressure and respond to maintenance issues in a timely manner.

. Willing to work 5.5 days per week and perform overtime when operational requirements demand.

. Possession of a valid driving license is preferred.
