Job Summary
An established precision engineering company in Singapore is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team. The candidate will be responsible for programming and operating advanced 4th and 5th-axis milling machines, ensuring high-quality output for both First Article and daily production runs.
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC 4th and 5th-axis milling machines using Fanuc or Heidenhain controls to deliver precise machining outcomes
- Interpret complex mechanical drawings and apply GD&T standards to ensure accurate machining and compliance with design specifications
- Manage First Article inspections by conducting detailed evaluations and documenting findings to validate production readiness
- Ensure daily production output meets established quality and delivery schedules to support operational efficiency
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of machining processes to facilitate traceability and quality control
- Uphold quality standards in accordance with ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent quality management systems to ensure product integrity
- Participate in Statistical Process Control (SPC) activities and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly in English or Mandarin to support seamless operations
Required competencies and certifications
- Proficiency in programming and operating CNC 4th/5th-axis milling machines with Fanuc or Heidenhain controls
- Strong ability to interpret and apply GD&T standards to technical drawings
- Experience conducting First Article inspections and documenting production quality
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or AS9100
- Effective communication skills in English and/or Mandarin
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, or relevant trade qualification (ITE or Polytechnic level preferred)
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in CNC machining, specifically with 4th/5th-axis milling
- Willingness and ability to work shifts, overtime, and weekends as required
