Job Summary
Decomet Metal Finishing is a Singapore-based surface treatment company serving OEMs in the semiconductor, medical, automation, and defense sectors. We are seeking an Operations & Production Coordinator to support daily production control and customer coordination. This role works closely with the Production Manager and serves as the key link between customers, production, and QC to ensure accurate scheduling, smooth job flow, and on-time delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Production Manager in planning daily production schedules and prioritizing jobs to meet delivery targets
- Monitor shopfloor job progress to ensure adherence to delivery schedules and escalate bottlenecks or delays promptly
- Coordinate manpower allocation and workflow sequencing to optimize production efficiency
- Track work-in-progress (WIP) status and maintain accurate production and job tracking records
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of production control processes to enhance operational effectiveness
- Provide operational support on the shopfloor as needed to maintain smooth production flow
- Act as the liaison between customers and internal departments by communicating order status, quality issues, and delivery timelines clearly and promptly
- Provide accurate job updates to manage customer delivery commitments effectively
- Prepare delivery orders, inspection certificates, and related documentation to ensure compliance and readiness for shipment
- Maintain quality control (QC) records and verify documentation completeness before shipment
- Support compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 documentation requirements by ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Engineering, Chemistry, or Business Administration
- 3-5 years experience in production coordination, planning, or precision manufacturing
- Familiarity with order tracking, QC documentation, and ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality management systems
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively across operators, QC teams, and management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to work comfortably on the shopfloor in a non-airconditioned environment and stand for extended periods
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders from diverse nationalities
