The Scope
You will be part of Esco Aster's Engineering team, supporting the design coordination, drawing preparation, and construction execution of M&E systems at the project site.
This is a site-based role focused on HVAC (including cleanroom air-conditioning systems), plumbing and sanitary systems, utilities, and fire protection systems. The role combines engineering coordination and drafting responsibilities. You will work closely with the Project Manager, contractors, supervisors, and construction teams to ensure that all M&E installations comply with approved drawings, BCA regulations, safety standards, and project quality requirements. During the start-up phase of the facility, you will support the setup of workflows, documentation systems, and technical coordination processes required for project execution.

Job Responsibilities
. Review project specifications, M&E drawings, and BOQs.
. Prepare, coordinate, and update detailed M&E shop drawings (HVAC, plumbing & sanitary, utilities, fire protection).
. Produce coordinated M&E drawings using AutoCAD (M&E AutoCAD proficiency required).
. Ensure all M&E works are executed according to approved drawings and technical specifications.
. Prepare material submittals, technical submissions, and supporting documentation.
. Review and understand technical information and specifications of materials used on site.
. Attend and actively participate in site coordination meetings with contractors and other stakeholders.
. Coordinate and supervise M&E works with site supervisors and construction workers to ensure smooth execution.
. Ensure compliance with BCA regulations, relevant Singapore codes and standards, and site safety requirements.
. Update drawings based on site changes and produce accurate as-built drawings upon project completion.
. Support project scheduling and site progress monitoring for M&E works.
. Be present on-site daily and support project execution activities.
. Be prepared to work extended hours or overtime as required by project schedule.
. Undertake tasks assigned by the Project Manager as appropriate.
Requirements
. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline.
. 3-4 years of relevant M&E project experience in construction environment.
. Experience or knowledge in cleanroom air-conditioning systems (minimum 1 year exposure preferred knowledge-based experience acceptable).
. Experience in plumbing and sanitary systems.
. Draftsman experience with strong proficiency in M&E AutoCAD.
. Solid understanding of M&E drawings and coordination processes.
. Familiar with BCA regulations and relevant industrial codes and standards in Singapore.
. Certified in WSQ Workplace Safety and Health Management in Construction Industry or similar certification.
. Strong coordination skills and ability to manage supervisors and site workers.
. Able to work independently self-motivated and task-oriented.
. Good oral and written communication skills with strong computer literacy.
. Willing to be site-based and work extended hours when required.
