Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, ACMV, Fire Protection, and ELV system designs between consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Review and verify M&E shop drawings, ensuring proper coordination with Structural and Architectural layouts to avoid clashes and rework.
  • Lead and manage coordination sessions with BIM modelers to develop an accurate and integrated combined services model.
  • Ensure all M&E designs and installations comply with relevant authorities requirements, including SCDF, PUB, EMA, BCA, and NEA regulations.
  • Prepare and review technical submissions, method statements, and builder shop drawings for approval by consultants and authorities.
  • Coordinate equipment procurement, vendor selection, and technical datasheet reviews to ensure compliance with design and performance specifications.
  • Attend site coordination meetings and work closely with site teams to resolve installation and technical issues efficiently.
  • Support and monitor testing, commissioning, and handover documentation to ensure M&E systems are fully operational and compliant.
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure timely delivery of design and site milestones.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in M&E coordination, preferably with a main contractor or design & build environment.
  • Familiar with SCDF (FSSD) submissions, ACMV, MV/LV electrical, and ELV systems.
  • Strong understanding of BIM coordination, authority requirements, and construction drawings.
  • Good knowledge of local codes, regulations, and submission procedures (e.g., PUB, EMA, BCA, NEA, SCDF).
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills to manage design and site interfaces.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and other relevant engineering software.
