[What the role is]

SENIOR MANAGER, ARCHITECTURE

[What you will be working on]

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead an architectural team in the management and delivery of the design development for Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Management

  • Lead and manage the architectural design team throughout all phases of the MRT station project, from concept to completion.

  • Manage work distribution, resource planning, and team development.

  • Foster a collaborative high-performance work culture and ensure high-quality project delivery.

Project Delivery and Oversight

  • Drive design development and documentation from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, regulations, and quality standards.

  • Manage design budgets, liability exposure and commercial implications of design decisions within the project contract framework.

  • Coordinate and foster effective collaboration across engineering and construction teams to ensure architectural design intent and engineering requirements are well integrated.

  • Monitor design progress, chair design meetings, and proactively address technical challenges as they arise to ensure timely progress.

  • Support tender and construction phases by providing technical clarifications, reviewing shop drawings and material submissions, and attending site inspections.

Stakeholder Management and Coordination

  • Lead stakeholder engagement and manage design interface coordination with external parties including developers, contractors, and consultants.

  • Liaise with government agencies and regulatory authorities to facilitate approvals, resolve regulatory issues, ensure project compliance with statutory requirements and timely project delivery.

  • Plan and oversee design reviews and approval. Present design proposals and progress updates to senior management and external parties.

[What we are looking for]

  • Knowledge in Architecture or related discipline professional registration preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with proven leadership in MRT or large-scale rail transport projects.

  • Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in a D&B environment, preferably for MRT or rail projects.

  • Good knowledge of local codes, regulations, and authority submission processes in Singapore.

  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality design outcomes on time and within budget.

As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment.
