Who will you be working with Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, APAC & China you will be responsible for coordinating the logistics activities and ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role works with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate shipping and

delivery schedules. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing outsourced service

providers including 3PL, transporters, express service & freight forwarders

What will your typical day look like

  • Oversee daily Logistics operation including 3PL, express services, transporters, trade brokerage declaration and freight forwarders and conduct regular business reviews.
  • Coordinate with internal staff as well as external vendors to ensure a smooth flow of goods and services through the supply chain.
  • Execute shipments to customers for sales & service orders.
  • Work with forwarders / express services on Import and Export shipments.
  • Perform Inbound Delivery Creation for all incoming shipments inventory & assets.
  • Perform Inbound Goods Receiving and Goods issuance.
  • Ensure smooth execution of outbound shipments (local & export) by coordinating with customer care, 3PL and forwarders.
  • Assist Finance to retrieve past import and export documents for or External Audits or as requested.
  • Liaise with forwarders for Spot rate quotation, review quotation and choose the best forwarder for export shipments.
  • Perform invoices verification for 3PL, declarant, Express Services, Freight forwarding services (global freight bid or spot rate quotation).
  • Work with 3PL and maintain regular KPI report Cycle count, inbound, outbound, handling, and local transportation.
  • Filing of insurance claim under GIT / MOP for any damages / Loss during transit.
  • Responsible to determine the feasibility of Dangerous Goods / Special Cargo
  • Acceptance and assess the safety of carriage of such cargoes.
  • Quarterly Asset Disposal arrangement for E-Waste (complying to NEA requirement).
  • Work closely with respective BU to classify items finished goods, repair units, spare parts, and demo assets from export control, determine the application export control jurisdiction(s).
  • Verify Commercial Invoices & HS Codes for import & export.

What do we want to know about you

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in an operational environment with expertise in managing 3PLs, freight forwarders, transporters & customs brokers.
  • Minimum Diploma in supply chain management, operations management, or acceptable formal education with sufficient work experience.
  • Experience in managing airfreight and express/courier operations preferred.
  • Strong understanding of freight and customs.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills to develop trust and credible relationships with stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain operations including warehouse operations, freight, transportation, and import & export process.
  • Hands-on experience in logistics operation or management of 3PL operation.
  • Project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP.
