Key Responsibilities
1. Freight Operations Management
Coordinate international and domestic shipments via air, sea, and land.
Manage full-container load (FCL), less-than-container load (LCL), breakbulk, ISO tank, and flexitank shipments.
Oversee door-to-door, port-to-port, and multimodal transportation.
Monitor shipment progress and ensure timely delivery.
2. Specialized Cargo Handling
Manage logistics for hazardous and dangerous goods (DG), including chemicals and petrochemicals.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements for oil & gas shipments.
Coordinate the handling of bulk liquids, ISO tanks, and project cargo.
Review and verify Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and cargo specifications.
3. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
Ensure compliance with international trade and transport regulations.
Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including:
Bill of Lading (B/L)
Air Waybill (AWB)
Commercial Invoice and Packing List
Certificate of Origin
Dangerous Goods Declaration (DGD)
Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
Adhere to regulations such as IMDG, IATA-DGR, ADR, and local authority requirements.
Ensure compliance with HSSE and ISO standards.
4. Client & Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients.
Liaise with carriers, agents, terminals, customs brokers, and government authorities.
Provide shipment updates, performance reports, and logistics solutions.
Address operational issues and implement corrective actions.
5. Vendor & Cost Management
Source and negotiate competitive freight rates with carriers and service providers.
Monitor operational costs and ensure profitability.
Prepare quotations and support tender submissions.
Evaluate vendor performance and maintain strong partnerships.
6. Risk Management & Safety
Identify and mitigate operational and safety risks.
Ensure adherence to HSE policies and industry best practices.
Implement contingency plans for delays, incidents, or emergencies.
Support incident reporting and root-cause analysis.
7. Systems & Reporting
Utilize Transport Management Systems (TMS), ERP, and freight forwarding software.
Maintain accurate shipment records and operational data.
Generate KPI reports, including on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
Drive process improvements and digitalization initiatives.
