The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all logistics and transportation activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant movement of materials, equipment, and goods. The role ensures alignment with project schedules, contractual requirements, and company policies while managing risks, vendors, and operational efficiency.
- Plan and manage inbound and outbound logistics, including transportation, customs clearance, warehousing, and delivery.
- Coordinate with project, procurement, and engineering teams to align logistics activities with project schedules.
- Manage logistics service providers, freight forwarders, and transport contractors.
- Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations, HSE requirements, and company procedures.
- Control logistics costs, prepare budgets, and monitor expenditures against approved budgets.
- Oversee documentation for shipping, customs, and insurance.
- Identify and mitigate logistics risks, including delays, damages, and regulatory issues.
- Provide regular progress updates, reports, and escalation of critical logistics issues.
- Support project execution through effective planning of heavy lifts, special transports, and site deliveries.
Requirements:
- Diploma / Engineering in Logistics or other relevant qualifications
- 6-10 years relevant working experience as a Logistics manager in O&G, Construction or Marine industry.
- Critical thinking
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Meticulous, organized and ensure timely completion of tasks
