Key Responsibilities
- Planning and Strategy:Develop and execute plans for the movement, storage, and distribution of products and materials.
- Inventory Management:Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, forecast supply needs, and monitor stock levels.
- Supply Chain Optimization:Analyze logistics needs to improve efficiency and reduce costs across the supply chain.
- Transportation and Distribution:Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, manage shipping operations, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Supplier & Carrier Relations:Negotiate contracts and maintain strong business relationships with suppliers and shipping carriers.
- Warehouse Operations:Oversee warehousing activities, ensuring the efficient and safe storage of goods.
- Regulatory Compliance:Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Team Leadership:Supervise and manage logistics staff, including training and directing their work.
- Problem-Solving:Address and resolve issues related to transportation, logistics, and supply chain operations.
- Performance Monitoring:Track and report on logistics performance, identifying areas for improvement.
