Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, organise, and monitor inbound and outbound shipments.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters for import/export arrangements.
- Manage and verify shipping documents (e.g, invoices, packing lists, AWBs, B/Ls).
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of import/export documentation to appointed agents (3PL).
- Monitor freight costs and evaluate quotations from logistics vendors.
- Obtain necessary permits or licenses where applicable (e.g., for restricted items) with customs.
- Schedule and coordinate laden & empty container truck movements.
- Resolve transportation delays, customs holds, or delivery failures.
- Investigate causes of delayed or failed shipments.
- Use SAP for printing Job Orders for local collection.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce lead times and optimize delivery routes.
- Respond to logistics-related inquiries via email or phone.
- Track KPls for local collection.
- Update data into the Turnkey Sustainability platform.
- Escalate unresolved logistics issues to the Logistics Manager.
- Any ad-hoc matters as required.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Logistics or Operations or a qualification with relevant experience.
- Basic knowledge of Logistic operation, ability to follow SOPs and comply with standards.
- Effective communication, coordination skills and computer literacy (MS Excel, email).
- Advantage if you have experience in local driver scheduling and logistics vendor management.
- Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, good teamwork spirit.
