Logistics Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Execute daily warehouse activities, adhering to established procedures for timely execution. Prepare comprehensive import and export documents, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading. Source and negotiate freight rates with shipping agents, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers. Manage shipment bookings and actively monitor shipment status to ensure on-time delivery. Handle permit declarations for import/export shipments efficiently. Liaise with internal and external parties to facilitate smooth execution of shipments. Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally. Maintain and update inventory records for incoming and outgoing cargo. Assist in conducting cycle counts and stock checks to uphold accuracy. Ensure optimal use of warehouse space, manpower, and equipment. Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping standards within the warehouse. Supervise operations and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and customer requirements. Perform any additional ad-hoc duties as required. Investigate incidents and accidents and submit reports accordingly.

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant field. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a forwarding or shipping company with warehouse exposure. Permit declarant license is a must. Experience as an authorized declarant with Singapore Customs is essential. Preference for candidates with experience in a licensed warehouse. Familiarity with Singapore Customs rules and regulations is important. Knowledge of warehouse inventory management software is advantageous. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work independently under pressure. Strong communication and customer service orientation.
