Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Day-to-Day Warehouse Operations
Actively manage and participate in the loading, unloading, storage, and dispatch of finished products, ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods. - Supervise Forklift and Handling Activities
Direct and monitor forklift operators and general warehouse staff during material handling, container loading/unloading, and pallet movements. - Coordinate Incoming and Outgoing Shipments
Handle daily coordination for receiving inbound goods and arranging outbound deliveries, including container movement, trucking, and documentation checks. - Monitor Stock Movement and Inventory Accuracy
Track product movement in and out of the warehouse using manual logs or handheld devices conduct physical stock counts and resolve discrepancies. - Ensure Safety and Housekeeping Standards
Enforce safety practices in all logistics areas ensure PPE usage, proper stacking, clean workspaces, and adherence to site safety protocols. - Lead and Support the Warehouse Team
Allocate daily tasks, monitor progress, provide on-the-job guidance, and step in to assist with operations as needed to meet schedules and demands. - Coordinate with Transporters and Internal Teams
Liaise with drivers, transport companies, and internal departments (production, QA, customer service) to ensure on-time delivery and smooth workflow. - Maintain Documentation and Transaction Records
Ensure all goods received and dispatched are properly recorded, labeled, and filed in accordance with company procedures (delivery notes, DOs, GRNs, etc.). - Support Import/Export and Customs-Related Tasks
Assist with preparation of shipping documents and ensure correct loading of export containers and receipt of import goods. - Report Issues and Suggest Improvements
Flag operational problems (e.g., shipment delays, damaged goods, storage issues) and suggest practical solutions for workflow or safety improvement.
Key Skills:
Education & Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma or Technical Certificate in Logistics, Warehouse Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Forklift driving license or certification is an advantage.
- Safety and handling certifications (e.g., OSHA, HAZMAT) are preferred.
Experience
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in warehouse or logistics operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience supervising warehouse workers and forklift operators in day-to-day loading, unloading, and material movement.
- Proven track record in managing shipping, receiving, and storage of finished products.
- Experience in handling import/export coordination and working with transporters and drivers.
Operational Skills
- Comfortable working on the warehouse floor-handling goods, directing forklift operations, and conducting safety checks.
- Skilled in inventory checks, stock counting, and maintaining movement records manually or using handheld systems.
- Familiar with labeling, palletizing, and container loading/unloading procedures.
- Ability to identify and fix basic issues in material flow or equipment handling.
Technology & Tools
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of warehouse software, barcode scanners, and Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting.
- Familiarity with using ERP or WMS systems(training can be provided if needed).
Essential Criteria
- Physically fit and able to work in a plant environment, including standing for long periods, lifting moderate loads, and working in hot conditions.
- Hands-on leader who can guide, support, and work alongside the team.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and discipline in daily operations
- Flexible with working hours/shifts and available during peak loading/unloading times or urgent dispatches.
