Job Summary:
One of our esteemed clients is seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator with a strong background in banking or financial institutions, The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in building and managing servers, both physical and virtual, and possess expertise in Linux and middleware platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage compute and database servers.
- Strong knowledge of server build and management.
- Collaborate with application teams to resolve server build issues.
- Independently manage tasks without relying on documentation.
- Validate that servers are built according to requirements.
- Validate VA ports opening.
- Perform JIRA sanity checks (ODIF, Server Count, Tech/Business Live date).
- Generate reports for Ops and Security for QA validation.
- Address vulnerabilities identified in Ops and Security reports.
- Provide support for 24x7 team operations or 9-hour shifts with on-call support.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience in building servers (physical and virtual).
- Expertise in Linux and middleware platforms (JBOSS, Weblogic, MQ series).
- Proven ability to work independently without documentation.
- Nice to have: DevOps experience and working with/executing pipelines.
- Linux certification is a plus.
